ATLANTIC BIOLOGICALS CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF SUCCESS AS A PROVIDER OF HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

Despite a turbulent economic climate, this milestone anniversary is possible because of Innovation, Ethics and a dedicated team of employees.

MIAMI, FL, April 9, 2009 – In 1999, Atlantic Biologicals was created as a response to the healthcare industry’s need for a more dynamic distributor. The executives who created the company not only met this demand but also inspired improved leadership skills among their peers.

“Since we first opened our doors, the organization has grown from strength to strength and gained national and international respect,” said Karen Moody, president of Atlantic Biologicals. Moody has been a key player in the company’s development since inception. Along with the financial prowess of Vice President Michael Correa, the pair has invested their time and energy into an overwhelmingly successful venture. It was important for Moody to mention two groups that have been instrumental to the company’s success.

“We have a loyal clientele that have provided feedback which has been integral in the success of our products and services. Also important are the employees of the company. Two employees in particular deserve special mention.”

Scott Harkins joined the Atlantic Biologicals team in 1999 as one of its first sales executives. A 1998 graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Harkins utilized his knowledge of the medical and treatment field and excelled in his role. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2002. In 2006, Harkins spearheaded the effort to launch the company’s Unit Dose Division.

His contribution was significant in forming a partnership with North Carolina-based Unit Dose Solutions in 2007. This relationship with an established single-dose medication packager allowed Atlantic Biologicals to have a successful start with its Unit Dose Division. Harkins also helped to form Atlantic Biologicals’ newest company, UDose LLC, a full service, single-dose repackaging company of oral liquid and oral solid products.  Harkins has spearheaded the growth of this company to include more than 2 million doses packaged during the first year.

After spending three years with the company as a sales representative, Kenneth Hilton’s leadership qualities were recognized with his promotion to Co-Manager in 2002. The Florida International University and University of Florida graduate has maintained the No. 1 ranking in sales quota profits multiple times during the last eight years. With a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, Hilton admits to learning valuable lessons about sales, people and relations from his experiences at Atlantic Biologicals. It comes as no surprise that he is constantly recognized for treating his customers with integrity.
